During Q3 2021, the top 5 fashion games on the Android platform in South Africa showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at how each app performed:

Hair Challenge, published by Rollic Games, experienced fluctuations in its weekly downloads, starting at around 16K in late June and dropping to approximately 8K in mid-August. However, by the end of September, downloads rebounded to over 11K. Revenue for the game showed sporadic peaks, with notable spikes of $9 and $5 in July and September, respectively. Weekly active users saw a decline from around 60K in late June to about 47K at the end of August, but then climbed back to nearly 56K by the end of September.

Makeup Artist: Makeup Games, developed by FunLanding Game Studio, saw a dramatic increase in downloads from just over 150 in late August to a peak of approximately 37K in early September. This surge was mirrored in active users, which jumped from 147 to over 56K within the same period. Revenue also showed growth, peaking at $29 in early September.

Body Race from Gismart showed a steady decline in weekly downloads, starting from about 11.8K in late June and dropping to around 3K by the end of September. Active users also followed a downward trend, decreasing from approximately 24K to just over 12K during the same period.

Fashion Battle - Dress up game by Apps Mobile Games started strong with around 18.7K downloads in late June but saw a decline to about 3.9K in mid-August. By the end of September, downloads had increased again to approximately 7.7K. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at about 34K and peaking at over 45K in early July, then stabilizing at around 26K by the end of September.
